Page work that a keyboard can do too.

Drag-and-drop is the obvious way to reorder pages and the worst way to be the only option. It is unusable with a keyboard, awkward with a switch device and fiddly on a touchscreen with fifty thumbnails. Every page here can therefore be moved three ways: dragged, moved with visible earlier and later buttons, or moved with Alt and the arrow keys while the thumbnail has focus. Each move is announced in a live region, and the rail is a labelled list whose entries state their position.

Selections work the way they do elsewhere: click a thumbnail, shift-click to extend to a contiguous range, or type a range such as 1-3, 5 to pick pages without hunting for them. Rotations, moves, duplications and deletions applied to a multi-page selection are grouped into a single undoable action, so one undo puts the document back rather than fifteen.

Nothing is committed until you export. Duplicated, blank, deleted, moved and rotated pages are all previewed in the workspace first, and page-specific edits stay attached to their page content when pages move, so an annotation does not slide onto a neighbour when you reorder the document around it.
